She was our cutest newborn. Don't tell Henry and Charlotte we said that.
Her love of life. Mae is always smiling, laughing or giggling. She is the life of the party.
Her sense of fashion. Because no one else in our family has one.
She has worthy role models. If you ask her who her role models are, she would say Malala (an amazing activist for female education) and Ruby Bridges (a girl who was very important in the Civil Rights movement). I have high hopes for her doing something meaningful with her life.
Her love of learning. She has LOVED learning to read over the past year. She is always evaluating words and sentences and trying to make sense of things. (watch this adorable video of her "reading" at age 2):
Her love of God. Mae asks deep questions, and has a desire to know God more and serve him. She is a passionate pray-er and a creative praise-er.
She is a good friend. Mae is friends with everyone. She is thoughtful and encouraging, and a lot of fun to been around.
Her courage. Mae is our bravest Spanish speaker, she is not afraid to try new things, and speaks truth.
